Landscape issue with text messages

I use this app daily for a solid, clean, clear video between my phone and a conference room.

The only issue is the iOS version for the iPhone 6s plus has a bug where the video rotates from landscape to portrait if a text message comes in. This happens for both ends of the conference call. Once the preview of the text message disappears the video flips back to landscape mode. This makes my video feed look incredibly unprofessional.
